The event, titled “Trends in Robotics and Microcontrollers in K-12 Education", was held in Cebu City on May 27, 2023. Hosted by CSTA Philippines Chapter Treasurer Mr. Michael Abello and Sacred Heart School - Ateneo de Cebu, the event was attended by teachers from Cebu and elsewhere via virtual conferencing.
We are thrilled to share the remarkable success of the recent Trends in Robotics and Microcontrollers event held at Sacred Heart School - Ateneo de Cebu. Organized by the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) Philippines Chapter, this event brought together robotics enthusiasts from Cebu and beyond, creating an atmosphere of innovation, learning, and collaboration.
One of the highlights of the event was the presence of Mr. Tom Lauwers, founder and CEO of BirdBrain Technologies. Mr. Lauwers, a renowned figure in the field of robotics, shared his expertise and insights, inspiring the participants with his knowledge and vision. His presentation on “Fifty Years of Educational Robotics” added immense value to the overall experience and left attendees motivated and inspired.
The Trends in Robotics and Microcontrollers event offered an array of free hands-on teaching and learning resources. Participants had the opportunity to engage in and explore the world of robotics and microcontrollers through interactive displays.
The hands-on exhibit playground was a definite highlight of the event. Participants were able to explore various robotics projects and witness the applications of microcontrollers firsthand. This interactive exhibit created a stimulating environment, encouraging attendees to experiment, learn, and unleash their creativity.
