Greetings, esteemed members of the Computer Science Teachers' Association (CSTA) Philippines Chapter! We are excited to bring you the latest updates from our recent virtual board meeting held on April 21, 2023. In this edition, we would like to introduce the newly appointed officers who will lead our chapter to new heights.

The meeting commenced promptly at 9:00 AM, with Ms. Pam Ros Damarillo, our esteemed President, calling the members to order. Ms. Damarillo began by facilitating a brief introduction session, allowing each participant to introduce themselves and share their current affiliations. It was truly inspiring to witness the diverse backgrounds and expertise within our esteemed group.

Following the introductions, Ms. Damarillo provided an overview of the meeting agenda, which encompassed several key items essential to the growth and development of our chapter. The agenda included discussions on the introduction to CSTA Philippines as the first chapter outside of North America, the development of our chapter's website, the review of By-Laws, the Chapter Success Rubric, and the Job Description for the Chapter Board of Directors.

A significant highlight of the meeting was the appointment of our exceptional board officers. As per the Chapter By-Laws, the board officers were elected by the membership of the chapter. After careful deliberation and consideration, the following individuals were appointed to key positions:

President: Pam Ros Damarillo Ms. Pam Ros Damarillo, with her vast experience and dedication, will guide our chapter as the President. Her visionary leadership will undoubtedly steer CSTA Philippines toward excellence and foster an environment conducive to growth and collaboration.

Vice-President: Jessica Demegillo Ms. Jessica Demegillo, a dynamic educator, has been appointed as the Vice-President of our chapter. Her expertise and commitment to advancing computer science education will play a crucial role in achieving our goals.

Vice-President for Communications: Edwin De Guzman Mr. Edwin De Guzman, a skilled communicator and advocate for computer science education, has assumed the vital position of Vice-President for Communications. We eagerly anticipate his valuable contributions in promoting CSTA Philippines and facilitating effective communication within our community.

Secretary: Joel Bautista Mr. Joel Bautista has been appointed as the Secretary of CSTA Philippines Chapter. With his meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail, Mr. Bautista will ensure smooth operations and accurate record-keeping within our association.

Treasurer: Michael Abello Mr. Michael Abello, known for his financial acumen and dedication, will serve as the Treasurer of CSTA Philippines Chapter. His expertise in managing resources will be instrumental in sustaining the financial health of our association.

The appointment of these talented individuals reflects our commitment to assembling a board that embodies passion, expertise, and a shared vision for computer science education in the Philippines. Together, they form a dynamic team that will work diligently to enhance the chapter's activities and advocate for the professional growth of computer science teachers across the country.

Our immediate Past President, Edge Angeles will remain on the board to facilitate continuity of chapter projects.

During the meeting, it was also decided that the workshop calendar and other important matters would be discussed in our next meeting, scheduled for May 6, 2023. We encourage all members to mark their calendars and actively participate in shaping the future initiatives of CSTA Philippines.

With no further items on the agenda, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 AM, leaving us excited and motivated for the future endeavors of our chapter.
